Hired during the pilot year of Tiny Dorm, a vibrant company organizing concerts for Bay Area student artists, I was entrusted with the critical task of establishing and shaping the brand identity. My role was multifaceted, focusing on elevating the company's digital presence and enriching the event experience. As a foundational member of the team, I led my peers in crafting various creative and marketing materials and overseeing digital platforms. 

 

Key Responsibilities and Achievements:

Content Production
  • Produced engaging newsletters and eye-catching posters for campus advertising, effectively capturing the essence of Tiny Dorm and its events.

  • Created merchandise that resonated with our audience, contributing to brand visibility and memorability.

Concert Design
  • Designed digital concert backdrops, set design, and lighting, elevating the visual experience of our concerts.

  • These elements enhanced the ambiance and also showcased our commitment to providing high-quality, immersive events.

Social Media and Digital Platform Management
  • Managed the Tiny Dorm YouTube channel and Instagram account, curating content that highlighted our events and artists.

  • Developed and maintained Tiny Dorm Spotify playlists, offering a digital space for our audience to connect with the artists and their music.

  • As the content writer for our social media platforms and newsletters, I crafted promotional content that engaged and informed our audience.

Set Design and Video Editing

  • Involved in set design for concerts, ensuring each event had a unique and appealing visual theme.

  • Handled video editing, creating content that was used across our digital platforms to showcase our events and attract new followers.

My contributions at Tiny Dorm played a pivotal role in enhancing the company's digital footprint and event quality. The growth in social media followers and the increased frequency of our events are clear indicators of the success of our strategies. The popularity and recognition that Tiny Dorm gained during this period are reflective of the effective blend of creative content, digital marketing, and event management skills that I brought to my team of talented people.

Growth and Engagement

  • During my tenure, Tiny Dorm's social media following grew by 900 followers, a testament to the effectiveness of our digital strategy.

  • Initially, we planned for two concerts per year, but due to the increased popularity from my extensive social media coverage, particularly of the open mic nights, these events gained significant traction.

  • The success of the open mic nights led to their transformation into a popular and eagerly anticipated aspect of our event calendar.
